I hope this is the correct board for posting the followning. I want to upload clip share and when I was browsing your homepage I noticed something to the effect that you can install clip share into the website, however I couldn't find the link where I read this.

I would appreciate it if you could redirect me to the link where I may purchase clip share from. apthost.

Thanks a million,

Cody, hi and thanks for your reply. I am experiencing some difficulty uploading the script for installation. The message field reads as follows

Location script should be installed *
Give us the location the script should be installed at. (e.g. mydomain.com/media)
This field is not in the correct website address format.

I have entered the domain correctly and even changed computers to make sure everything is alright in that respect.

I am at a loss as to how I can install this script now. I would appreciate any advise you may offer regarding the script installation.

Thanks again,

David.

Hello David,

That means that it isn't a proper URL. I'll update the example but It should be http://mydomain/media and that would work but it gives you that error simply because your not including the http:// in there.

Cody, hi again. I did include the http:// prefix with my url. It still didn't upload though. I thought the problem might be with the script installation page itself as it keeps cutting out on the same error, that is the web address format. I absolutely guarantee I have entered the url properly and still I cannot upload the script for your attention.

I have contacted clip share and I'm awaiting their response as this is the second script I've purchased and the second that hasn't worked. I have tried to install the script myself but all I'm being informed when i do so is the following 'Access Forbidden'

I'll see how it goes and when clip share get back to me, I'll know more, I really think that there's a fault with the script somewhere.

Are you talking about uploading videos on your script or are you talking about adding the .zip file to the script installation request page at http://secure.apthost.com/forms/script-install/ ?

I just tested the form myself and it successfully uploaded a .zip file. Otherwise if you have already attempted to install the script yourself you are more than welcome to submit a support ticket and I'm sure our techs can help you fix the problem.

I was talking about the zip file Cody. I could add that alright but the url keeps cutting out on me, informing me that I am not using the correct url format.

Since then however, Clip Share have had one of their team take a look at the script I uploaded to the public_html/ folder and have checked it for configuation and they have informed me that they couldnt test the upload/conversion function, because they know the right paths for mencoder, mplayer and flvtool2.

Can you tell me what these paths are. My hosting package is the Power 75+ and I have the info you might need concerning my cpanel if you need to check out that the functions clip share are included in my package.

I hope what I've typed is comprehendible.

Many thanks to you personally for your help with this dilemma.

I really appreciate it and I hope I haven't been too bothersome.

Regards,

David

The paths that are in the config by default should work just fine as we have symlinks setup.

However the path information is available here: https://support.apthost.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=590
